Early life & Career
- Swapnil was born in a middle class family in Mumbai. His parents are retired govt. employees.
- Since childhood he had a clear vision to become an actor. He has mostly played comic roles and people have always admired his comic timing.
- Swapnil got his career’s biggest break through when he was just 9 years old. He was selected to play the role of Lord Rama’s son ‘Kusha’ in Ramanand Sagar’s ‘Uttar Ramayana‘ (1986).
- After the praise worthy performance in Uttar Ramayana he got the role of ‘Young Krishna‘ in Ramanand Sagars ‘Shri Krishna‘ (1993).
- After 1993 he took a sabbatical for few years and did a comeback in 1997. Swapnil Joshi played the role of ‘Inder’ in 1997’s famous T.V serial ‘Amanat.’
- Besides appearing in T.V serial ‘Amanat’, he appeared in a number of shows in 90’s era, like Dil Vil Pyar Vyar (1998–1999), Nanhe Jasoos (1999), & Hudd Kar Di (1999–2000).
